Day 1: Arrive in Xi’ning (Welcome Dinner)

Upon arrival at Xi’ning Chaojiabao Airport, your Tibetan tour guide and driver will meet you and transfer to the hotel. On available time, to see the Xining food market and the mosques of Hui minority in the center of the city in the afternoon, Muslim dinner can be served, enjoy the local meal.

 

Day 2: Drive to Lake Kokonur (Qinghai lake) (B+L+D)

Altititude: 3200m

Distance: 153km

Time Taking: Approximately 3hours

In the morning drive to Qinghai lake which is the largest salted water-body in China and most beautiful lake in all over Asia. The mighty lake is worshipped by the local Tibetans as dating to their myth. Many of the Tibetans survive around this lake are nomad families that made the civinity look differrent from others while you are seeing the tents. By one day exporing at the lake is a really good chance for you to observe the big questions on roof of the world regarding its natural and changes according. You are always welcome by the locals if you want to get inofrmation on asking them.

 

Day 3 Drive to Lower Tawu (B+L+D)

Highest Altititude: 4499m

Distance: 360km

Time Taking: Approximately 6hours

Hotel: Guesthouse

Drive to Tawu. En-route, we will visit Dekyi Tang monastery before get Chabcha town, the capital city of Hainan Tibetan Autonomous prefecture - the town to the south of Qinghai lake. After lunch drive to Lower Tawu, a small district under Machen county of Golok Tibet Autonomous perfecture. In the evening, meet up our Yak-man and yaks support.

 

Day 4 Start trek (L+D by Tibetan cook)

Altititude: 4200m

Distance: 14km

Time Taking: Approximately 6hours

Overnightl: Camp

Drive to Lower Tawu and start trek after lunch. Visit Amnye Machen Culture Centre before start trek. Total walking time starting from Dradrul Tang is around 4 hours to the camping place called Nakchok-Do. Average altitude(4250m)

Day 5 Trek to Chablung Do (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)

Average Altititude: 4300m

Distance: 18km

Time Taking: Approximately 7hours

Overnightl: Camp

On the way to Chablong we shall enjoy spectacular views of Tibetan grasslands and native flora and fauna.  Today is the best scene to see Amnye Machen For this night just on Dradui pass 4612m, we will camp outside of the nomadic village of Chablong.

 

Day 6 Trek to Sherig-Do (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)

Distance: 20km

Time Taking: Approximately 8hours

Overnightl: Camp

This day we trekked from Chablung-Do through Chablung valley and Halung valley, two slight valleys along with Dradui river to the right of the Mt. Amnye Machen, most of the plain and down-track until Sherig-Do.

 

Day 7 Trek to Tsanak Kamdo (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)

Averate Altititude: 4300m

Distance: 22km

Time Taking: Approximately 8hours

Overnightl: Camp

Adventure challenge awaits us a total of 7 hours hike. Just top of a slight mountain will keep us helping to glimpse the first sight of Mt. Amnye Machen, the most worshiped sacred mountain in Eastern Tibet - the dwelling place of Padmasambhawa.  Continue hiking to Tsanak Kamdu, where meet the yak supporters to join in hand to make about 15 km day trek along the Yankhor-chu River to Langri. The Yangkhor-chu River is the place where monks and traditional Tibetan medical practitioners receive blessings from Naga, the God of underworld after collecting herbs.

 

Day 8 Trek to Halong Langri-Chu (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)
Highest Altitude: 4600m
Distance: 24km
Time taking: 8hours
Overnight: Camp
 Average altitude 4400m. This day you will cross the second highest pass called Tamchok Gongkar (4600m) after a smooth trek through the Halong Langri-chu valley. After Tamchok Gongkar pass, you have a very nice view of its landscape and the spectacular of Mt. Amnye Machen very closely.
 
Day 9 Trek to Mowatowa rocky valley (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)
Highest Altitude: 4300m
Distance: 20km
Time taking: 7hours
Overnight: Camp
Trekking to the rock valley nearby Mowathowa.
 
Day 10 Trek to Deleni (B+L+D by Tibetan cook)
Highest Average Altitude: 4300m
Distance: 25km
Time taking: 8hours
Overnight: Camp
Today, reach the most unique places throughout the trek, to visit the meditation caves and the cliffs of Goku Chenmo, which are said to mark the entrance to the palace of the protector Machen Bomra.
 
Day 11 Trek down to Jomolangra and Drive to Yushu (B+L by Tibetan cook)
Highest Altitude: 4300m
Distance: 14km trekking + Drive 150km by car
Time taking: 6hours
Overnight: Linguo Business Hotel in Maduo
Trek through gorge of the Chushen River and we will end up our trek down to Jomolangra where meet up our driver and set for Maude county.

 

Day 12 Drive to Source of Yellow and lake Ngoring and Gyaring (B+L+D)

Highest Altitude: 4610m
Distance: 186km
Time taking: 6hours
Overnight: Linguo Business Hotel in Maduo
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to lake Karang, Ngorang and the head of Yellow river. Maude county (the home of King Gesar) via Huashixia. Overnight in Maude.

 

Day 13 Drive to Source of Yellow river (B+L+D)
Highest Altitude: 4300m
Distance: 185km
Time taking: 6hours
Overnight: Linguo Business Hotel in Maude
In the morning drive for Source of Yellow river cum most beautiful two lakes Ngoring and Gyaring. Since Maduo is the place of King Gesar, you will get more story about its mythical legend of King - Gesar if you talking to the local people.  
 
Day 14 Drive to Yushu (B+L+D)
Highest Altitude: 4824m
Distance: 335km Road are being constructing highway
Time taking: 6hours
Overnight: Yuzhou business hotel  
Beautiful landscape until Yushu and we will have Bayan Gar pass which is 4824m, the highest pass on our trip. Before Yushu there is Yangtse river, one of the great three rivers on the Qinghai Tibetan Plateau. Yushu has its own unique character of natural and cultural landscapes can be enjoyed more.
 
Day 15 Visit around Yushu (B+L+D)
Highest Altitude: 3760m
Distance: 50km

In the morning drive south of the town to visit one of the famous sky-burials in Kham Tibet - called the Batang Sky-burial which is an important one. Next to visit princess Wencheng Temple  and drive back to the tow to visit Jegu monastery.

 

Day 16 Flight to Xining (B+L+D)
Leave from Yushu just for 50 minutes flying towards Xining.

 
Day 17 Visit Tibet Medical Museum in Xining (B+L+D)
Drive to visit Tibetan Medical Museum. This museum is home to the largest Thangka painting in the world.  This Guiness-record setting Thangka was painted by hundreds of individual artists and is over 600 meters long.  The degree of detail is dizzying, and its subject matter ranges from Tibetan cosmology to folk tales to Buddhist deities. After it, transfer to airport to connect flight to Shanghai.
