All forigners entering Tibet should need to hold a passport of at least six months’ validity. If entering from China Mainland, your visa should not be business, resident and student. It is merely permited with tourist visa for all travellers in Tibet. If you are coming to Lhasa from Kathmandu, you'd better get China visa from Kathmandu because no matter you've already got the visa in your country or not, you must get a visa in Kathmandu, which is regulated in an official memo between China and Nepal.
Military Permit is required if you are planning to travel some areas of Ngari, Nyingchi, and Nagqu which are regard as the military sensitive areas in Tibet. It is issued by the Military office in Lhasa and we will need you to provide your passport, Tibet permit to apply for it. It normally takes 1-2 week days.

Tips: It’s better not to mention Tibet as your travel destination when you are applying for visa to China. Because you may be refused by stating that you will go to Tibet. However, it will be much easier if you travel to Tibet after you have got a valid China visa after you entering China.
Tibet Travel Permit
1. Passport and Visa
Travelers have to travel in tour groups and ask their travel agent to apply it for you. Please prepare the following documents before asking your travel agent to apply permit. Requirements as below:
1) A copy of your Passport
2) A copy of your China visa (Tourist Visa)
3) Full names, gender, Date of Birth, Passport number, nationality, occupation
Additional Requirements for business visa holders to provide additional information to Tibet Tourism Bureau to get a Tibet Entry Permit: If you are working in China, you require a certification in Chinese by your company based in China. If you are invited to China for business, research, lecture, scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or inter practice for a period of no more than six months, a certification by your Chinese travel agency is required. (As for the certification, you are required to provide your full names, nationality, passport number, dates of entry and exit China, and the stamps of your company or your travel agency). Note that Tibet Entrance Permit Independent travel is not allowed in Tibet Autonomous Region.
2. Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit or Tibet Entrance Permit
Travellers who want to visit closed areas, you must need to concern it if some of the places are included in your itinerary. It is issued by Foreign Affairs Section of the Local Public Security Bureau (PSB). PSB is not atained by tourists themselves but our agent assist you in applying for it after you entering Tibet since independent travel is not allowed in Tibet . Our guide will ask you for your passport and the Tibet Entry Permit and submit it to the Foreign Affairs Section of PSB. It normally takes several hours and the cost is 50 yuan/person.

Tsetang: Samye Monastery, Tomb of Tibetan King, Tradruk Monastery, Yumbu Lagang.
Shigatse: Sakya Monastery, The Mt. Everest, Rongbuk Monastery.
Gyangtse: Pelkor Choede Monastery Stupa.
Ngari (Western tibet): Mt.Kailash, Manasarovar Lake, Tholing Monastery, Guge Kingdom, Dongkar Peyang.
Nyingchi Region: Draksum tso lake.
Chamdo Regions.
Accept Tibet Autonomous Region and some of the places of Amdo and Kham regions, any permit is required even for independent travelers. Details will be provided along with in contact.

Passport & Visa - apply visa from Chinese Embassy in your residential country.
Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit - this permit is a must, our agent will work successful on procurement of the permit which is issuing from Tibet Tourism Bureau.
Alien's Travel Permit - this permit is done when forein tourists arrive in Tibet. Issuing by Forein Affair Office to differrent subtropical security bureau in Tibet.
Military Permit - If your tour itinerary is included some military sensitive areas.
