Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival at Lhasa & Acclimation
Upon arrival you will be met by our staff and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day at own leisure to acclimatize yourselves to the high altitude at 3658 m (12001 ft).
Day 02 Visit Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor
Early morning see the Potala Place, built in the 7th century by 33rd King Songtsan Gampo, which served as the former administrative office of the Tibetan Kingdom until last Langthar Ma. Next to visit is the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The Jokhang Temple was founded in the 7th century by King Sogtsan Gampo’s Chinese wife, Wenchen, who donated the Jowo Buddha statue to Tibet as her gift.
Day 03 Watch Buddha Exhibition in Drepung Monastery and Tibatan Opera in Norblingka
On the first day of the festival is to unveiling thangka in Drepung Monastery. In the dawn, a lot of monks of Drepung Monastery spread out the giant "Thanka" of Buddha and pray, followers present Khada to the "Thangka", and touch the "Thangka" by forehead to show their devotion. IF you attain the chance to see the Buddha Thangka in a year, it is said that you could accumulate merits for a spreading spirit of Buddhism. Professional and amateur Tibetan opera troupes annually gather in Norbulingka and perform various Tibetan operas. Along with the Tibetan operas and other religious activities, visitors can also watch yak races, horse races and dancing.

Day 04 Visit Ramoche Temple and Sera Monastery
Just after breakfast, visit Ramoche Temple which was first built by Han Chinese architects in the middle of the 7th century. Han Princess Wencheng took charge of this project and ordered the temple be erected facing east to show her homesick. In the afternoon, you will go to Sera Monastery to watch the lively monks Debating at the courtyard of Sera monastery. This is very interesting.

Day 05 Day Tour of Namtso Lake
Set out for the holy Lake Namtso in the morning. It is one of the four holy lakes in Tibet and is highly respected by the Tibetan Buddhism followers. It covers an area of more than 1900 square kilometers. It is the second largest salt water lake in China and the highest salt water lake above the sea level in the world. Then we will back to Lhasa.

Day 06 Depart from Lhasa
You will be driven to Gonggar Airport for fly sweet home

Shoton is a Tibetan word which means the Yogurt festival. This is because the monks were fed up with much yogurt like a yogurt festival during the summer retreat. During fifth Dalai Lama, Kinds of Tibetan traditional dances like Tashi Sholpa, Tropa and Lhamo opera were held in Drepung to greet while exchange the new face of the Thangka unveiling. Later, built a house for 11th Dalai Lama in Norbulingka, and since then, the shows continued in Norbulingka.
