Day 01
Arrival Lhasa: Welcome to Lhasa - capital of Tibet province and at an altitude of 3,650m. you will be met at either the rail station or airport by your guide with a transfer to your hotel. Free time to relax and acclimatize and perhaps explore the fascinating surroundings of your hotel set in the old Tibetan area of Lhasa. Overnight hotel.
Day 02
Lhasa - Jokhang Temple: After breakfast you will have a half day tour to the Jokhang temple and it’s surround Barkhor Kora an square. The Jokhang is the most sacred shrine for the Tibetan people and here you will see many pilgrims from all over Tibet. After lunch free time to explore the city further or relax and acclimatize in the many cafes and restaurants in this area. Overnight Hotel.
Day 03
Lhasa - Potala Palace: After breakfast a full day tour visiting the huge and truly amazing Potala Palace - former home to the Dalai Lama’s. After lunch you will make a visit to the Tibetan Medical Institute where a local Tibetan doctor can give an introduction about Tibetan traditional medicines - an area deeply rooted in Tibetan culture. Free time in the evening and overnight hotel.
